Rubbish off Kay Street, Rawtenstall
Very close to the run-down Valley Centre shopping precinct. It doesn't take much for the pride in one's town to diminish once the boards go up. The wall doesn't look too safe for pedestrians using Kay Street's footway.

The old chapel at the rear of Kay Street Baptist Church
This was the original chapel, before the new one was built fronting Kay Street. It is now used as a hall and meeting rooms.

Kay Street Baptist Church
The Baptist Church in Rawtenstall was founded in 1872 and services were held firstly in a local school and then in the Co-operative Hall. In 1876 a chapel (now the church hall) was opened in Kay Street. The present church building was opened in 1901.
