St Mary's Chambers
Occupying an imposing position overlooking Haslingden Road Rawtenstall, St Mary's Chambers is an impressive grade II listed building with a long local history. Formerly a Methodist church, it was built in 1856 & when completed in 1857, was named Haslingden Road United Methodist Church. By the 1930's the congregations were dwindling & the building fell into decline. After the war the church was used by elderly members of Rawtenstall as a meeting place and social centre The building has been restored and now provides conference & banqueting facilities. http://www.stmaryschambers.com/
