War memorial
This honours members of a school which I think formerly stood on this site. It is now just by the footbridge over the M65 motorway which can be seen on the right. There is another memorial higher up in the village of Belthorn.

The former junction of Belthorn Road and Haslingden Road
Rosehill Terrace is on the right. Belthorn Road has been blocked off beyond there by the diversion of Haslingden Road to the M65 junction.

Footbridge over the M65
This footbridge that keeps the right of way over the M65 motorway, that passes through the cutting below, used to be the route of Haslingden Road which was realigned 150 yards to the southwest of this point when the M65 was built in 1997.
