Padiham: The 'Railway'
There is no railway here now, but the name is retained by the pub. Added railway connection is provided by the Network Rail employee who has just parked his van outside - but he was just coming home for his lunch!

Padiham: Police station
In the days before 1974, when Padiham became part of the borough of Burnley, this was the old Lancashire Police station - Burnley had its own force. Now, Lancashire Police control that part of Lancashire that has not been subsumed into other authorities such as Cumbria or Merseyside.

Padiham: Park View
Looking southeast. Park View is an unusual road - a double-ended cul-de-sac. No, I'm not kidding. The road is bisected by Park Road, which thus functions as vehicular access to both ends. There are no houses on the southwest side of either end of Park View.
