Taken from the crossroads of Cherry Street and North Road.
This looks down Audley Range towards the centre of Blackburn, through a community of Asian origin.
I only found out after I had taken this photograph, that I was standing outside the terraced house where A. Wainwright was born. The king of Fellwalkers and Grandfather of grumpy old men.

331, Audley Range
Sharp eyed observers will notice a blue plaque between the front door and ground floor window of No 331.
This is the birthplace of A. Wainwright, famous for his enduring pen and ink guides to the Lake District and elsewhere.
The grandfather of all fellwalkers and grumpy men, whose life started here in this humble dwelling in Blackburn.
