The chimney and the tree
As an occasional visitor to Burnley, I don't know the name of the chimney, but it definitely has a tree growing out of the top! Anyone have any more info?

Cog Lane
There was (and still is) no towpath through the Gannow Tunnel. Horses had to be taken over the tunnel using the specially constructed route (Boat Horse Lane). Small boys would often guide the horses as they climbed from the towpath to the lane, up and over the crest of the hill and down the other side. Nowadays, the footpath route between the two ends of the tunnel passes along Cog Lane and under a modern road development before descending back to the canal via Boat Horse lane.
