This milepost was re-sited in 1987 after lying derelict for many years. The reverse side reads, "To Burnley 1 mile"

Restored Milepost
This milepost was lying derelict for many years. It was cleaned up and re-sited in 1987 on this area of grass. Frequently it is obscured by tall grass. The reverse side reads "To Bury 14 miles" Close to the ground, the date of the re-positioning is inscribed.

Temporary Mural
This mural, depicting the disc-jockey Jordan North has appeared on the side of the General Williams pub on Manchester Road. It is to advertise his moving to Capital Radio. It will remain for one month, then the wall will be repainted.
