Brun Terrace, Burnley, Lancashire
This shows Nos. 15 to 1 (odds - there are no evens), Brun Terrace. This old terrace, which stands next to the eponymous river (to the right off-picture), was originally built to house workers at the nearby Brownside Shed, a cotton mill. The mill's remains, behind the camera, now house small industrial units.
At the far end of the row is a barber's shop, not numbered in the terrace, called Laurel and Hardy's. Anyone for a joke haircut?
