The old Police Station on North Street
The old station was built in 1856 and served until quite recently. A benchmark is visible on the nearest corner - see Image] for a closer look. The buildings are now residential.

North entrance to St Peter and St Paul
The elegant porch was part of the major rebuilding of the late nineteenth century and features the patron saints of the church. St Peter and St Paul hold their respective symbols: the keys of Heaven and the (now missing) martyr's sword. The Latin inscription 'Per Crucem Tuam Libera Nos Domine' is below the Crucifixion.
An area just to the right of the porch, beside the tower, is devoid of any embellishment. It is the site of a 1552 plague pit.
