High visibility patrols

Wincanton Town Police have noticed an increase in anti-social driving and speeding along the High Street and residential areas of Wincanton, particularly in the evenings. We will be increasing our patrols on the High Street especially on our late shifts to deter this manner of driving from re-occurring.

Wincanton Town Policing Team are continuing their presence in the Town to deter this manner of driving. If you see us around Wincanton please feel free to speak to us around any concerns you may have.

Wincanton Neighbourhood Policing Team have noticed an increase in anti-social driving of e-scooters. We will be taking measures to reduce this behaviour from re-occurring around the town. If you notice someone driving an e-scooter in an anti-social manner please report via 101, online report or 999 if it is an emergency.

We are taking measures to prevent this manner of driving from happening, for example; pro-actively patrolling the area at the times this is occurring and conducting vehicle checks on those involved.
