St Cuthbert's Church, Wells
St Cuthbert's is the largest parish church in Somerset, and belongs to the perpendicular period. Parts of the church date back to the 13th century, but a general rebuilding took place in the 15th century and most of the church dates from then. There are records of two previous churches on the site, the first dating from Saxon times and the second from Norman times. http://www.stcuthbertswells.co.uk/index.php

The grade I listed St Cuthbert's church and its fine tower are shown in numerous images already https://www.geograph.org.uk/search.php?i=85376349 , though I'm not sure from this angle on a beautiful summer's morning. "One of the finest medieval churches in Somerset". The churchyard wall and the gatepiers are also listed https://www.historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1383113 , with "a pair of cast-iron gates having ornamental cross finials".
