2011 : East of north from Ridge Lane
Near the junction with the B3136 looking toward Shepton Mallet which is mostly hidden in the valley. For a fairly large town Shepton makes a good job of tucking itself away.
The black bin bags on the post are something to do with the Glastonbury Festival.

Cast iron post by the B3136, in parish of Pilton (Mendip District), Lamberts Hill, near old railway bridge at West Shepton, on grass verge against wall, on West side of road. Plated iron casting, erected by the Shepton Mallet turnpike trust in the 19th century.

The milestone is located near the old railway bridge at West Shepton, on the grass verge against wall on the West side of road. Parish of Pilton (Mendip District). Cast iron post, plated iron casting design, erected by the Shepton Mallet turnpike trust in the 19th century.
