Cast iron post by the B3136, in parish of Pilton (Mendip District), Lamberts Hill, near old railway bridge at West Shepton, on grass verge against wall, on West side of road. Plated iron casting, erected by the Shepton Mallet turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : SHEPTON / MALLET / 1 : : GLASTON / BURY / 8 : : TAUNTON / 29 : Grade II listed by Historic England.
