Captain Streeten's gift to Chilcompton
A nice plaque at the entrance to the village playing field. The Old Rec, as it has been known, was the village's only recreation area until the advent of the Bennell facility on the Wells Road.

Church House
This building (now a private residence) was the Church House. Interestingly, the date stone carries the year 1916, but the foundation stone at the foot of the wall is dated 1914 - clearly a difficult time to be building.
