Reputedly the best place for a good night's rock. The pub, which has been on this site for well over a century, is named after the crossroads it faces - Stone's Cross.

Warehouse with no windows
The formidable façade of part of the premises of Welton, Bibby and Baron - Station Road, Midsomer Norton. At some time in its recent past the decision was made to block up the windows and hatches. Before becoming a printing works it was actually a brewery.

Methodist church
There has been a Methodist church on this site since 1775. It served until 1859 when it was replaced by the present building. John Wesley himself visited the town (at the time known as Midsummer Norton) but was less than impressed by the poor state of the roads. Indeed, he wrote in his journal "It is so called, I suppose, because formerly it was accessible at no other time of the year!"
