Ant hills in North Road Meadows, Bath
The information board where the footpath meets Golf Course Road states that "These meadows are the perfect home for the Yellow Meadow ant and their grassy mounds are easy to spot not far from the path. Such inhabitants are testimony to grassland that has not been ploughed for at least 40 years, or perhaps at all ....".

The 2 metre rule applies to cattle!
As part of the Covid-19 regulations, we are becoming used to social distancing. However, this sign (from the N.F.U., no less) has a hand-written addition that warns people to keep 2m from cattle. Above is a fingernail that warns of the menace of ticks.

Modern house, Golf Course Road, Bath
This was a style popular in, I think, the early 1970s. A long flat-roofed single-storey over a basement garage and probably utility rooms; with a broad stone chimney to provide a vertical contrast. The tree is also of interest - how will the new growth develop?

Trees on North Road Meadows, Bath
I should think that this was grassland when it was regularly grazed. The trees don't look happy. Some have fallen over, but are still rooted and alive.

A perfect place for a perch
This bench seat has a wonderful view over Bath from just below the golf course. The sign marks dog owners to keep their charges on leads. See
