Bath Pavilion
On the north side of North Parade Road, The Pavilion is owned by Bath & North East Somerset Council and managed by the charity Aquaterra Leisure. The sandstone building opened in September 1910 as The County Skating Rink, at a time when a roller skating craze was sweeping the nation. Bath City Council bought the building in 1930. In November 1930 the venue repened as a concert hall named The Pavilion. During the Second World War, it was an assembly point for aircraft wings. The Pavilion as a multi-use leisure venue now hosts a wide range of events including concerts, exhibitions, dances and corporate, charity and private functions for up to 1,400 people.
