Marston Magna: Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary
Built from local lias stone. The church once formed part of the estate of Pslsloe Priory, near Exeter, before the dissolution of the monasteries. The chancel, nearest the camera, was originally built in the Norman era - some herringbone masonry survives in the north wall. The church also contains a Norman font

St Mary's in the Spring
Marston Magna's church, St Mary's, basks in the fresh morning sunshine. There has been some sort of church on this site since probably Saxon times. The present church dates from about 1360 and the tower has a benchmark on a buttress at the base of the tower - see Image

St Mary's church, Marston Magna
The village has had a religious site since at least Saxon times. The church of St Mary dates from 1360, with the current clock dating from 1919 that commemorates the fallen of the Great War. Grade I listed.
