West Camel Play Park
West Camel parish council is a ‘Precepting Authority’ which means that it is lawfully allowed to set its own funding level. The ‘Precept’ is collected by South Somerset District Council as part of Council Tax. This has allowed it to buy land and create this are for children and adults.

West Camel's village hall is a modern facility at the northern end and was opened in 2001. Close by is the play park and both were funded significantly by the parishioners.
