The east of All Saints
The church has a few bits dating from the fourteenth century, but the basic structure is fifteenth. Some later work was carried out in the early nineteenth, but it was John Elkington Gill, the Bath architect, who led the major renovations from 1869. Grade II* listed.

All Saints in the Autumn sunshine
Founded in the fourteenth century (and Grade II* listed) the church of All Saints was given a major remodelling, in common with many English churches, in the Victorian age. John Elkington Gill was the principal mover to update it.

Well off the ground
Halfway up the three-stage tower of All Saints and close to a wall-tie is an intriguing marked stone. There is no other feature close by and the stone is somewhat isolated, many feet above ground level. The tower is dated to the fifteenth century, so this stone may indicate some work done before the Victorian era - which changed much of the old church.
