Hendford Halt railway station (site), Yeovil
Opened in 1932 on the Great Western Railway's line from Taunton to Yeovil Town/Joint station, this halt closed with the line in 1964.
View east towards Yeovil Town (closed) and Pen Mill (open). The former overbridge that the single-platform Halt was next to has been removed, and the area redeveloped and landscaped out of all recognition.
Yeovil's first station, Hendford terminus (1853-61), is believed to have been beyond the vegetation and to the left.
