Priorities

18 Aug 2021

Residents in and around Stiby road, and those around the Westfield park have been experiencing ongoing criminal damage to property, and general nuisance behaviour by groups of youths in recent weeks.

This behaviour is not tolerated and Police are working closely with Park rangers and other agencies to try target these issues and take action.

Residents and members of the public are encouraged to report any Anti-social Behaviour they may witness, this allows officers to keep track of what is happening and where, and helps us prioritise the areas being effected the most.

Please report any Anti-social behaviour you may witness via the 101 line or the online report form found on our website.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
As Yeovil Neighbourhood team we like going out speaking to people and listening to their concerns.
When going out we visit St Peters Church on Coronation Street during their keep warm sessions. It gives us and opportunity to speak to members of community about their local concerns. We also attend session with the Youths to engage and spend time together. We attend local schools- WESTFIELD ACADEMY AND PRESTON SCHOOL to work alongside teachers and carrying out ‘one to one’ sessions with the students.
We do a lot work with local housing associations in relation to tacking Anti-Social Behaviour and Domestic Abuse. Working together, we take on Safeguarding concerns very seriously.
We work with multiple agencies in looking out for vulnerable adults and children. Any concerns You can always contact us on Report | Avon and Somerset Police
or Independent UK charity taking crime information anonymously | Crimestoppers (crimestoppers-uk.org)
or 101.

In case of emergency always use 999 services.
