Parish notices on the pub
Charlcombe is a village just on the northern outskirts of Bath, just down the hill. Its parish takes in the nearby villages of Woolley and Langridge, and also the Blathwayt Arms pub too.

Old Milestone, Lansdown Lane, near Bath Race Course
The milestone is located opposite Lansdown Golf Club, on the wide grass verge on the east side of road. Parish of Charlcombe (Bath and North East Somerset District). Stone post with metal plate, Bath incised iron plate design, erected by the Bath turnpike trust in the 19th century. See also https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/6076610. Plate was removed in 2002 and recovered and restored by the Council in 2006.
