Bathford Bridge
Bathford Bridge was built in 1665 and has three arches. Until the last century there was also a ford crossing between where the photo was taken and the bridge. The brook here quite high is known as the Box Brook or the By Brook or the Weavern.

Footbridge over the By Brook
So new as to be not yet on the map, this recently opened pedestrian bridge crosses the By Brook at Bathford, just upstream of its confluence with the river Avon, to the left (west) of the adjacent road bridge. The arch bridge in the background carries the main Bristol to London main line railway. The roundabout at the eastern end of the infamous Batheaston bypass can be seen underneath it.
