Tyning Road shops
Winsley's expansion included a row with shops and the repositioning of the Post Office. Note the cashpoint has been removed and a Wiltshire police postbox can be seen at the end.

2007 : Post Office & Stores, Winsley
Many small post offices are combined with food/general stores. The post office is kept strictly separate from the rest of the business and often has different opening times.

2007 : Bradford Road, Winsley
The old B3108 passed along here before the bypass was built. Crossing it was difficult - look at it now. Hooray for bypasses.

2007 : The Old Main Road, Winsley
A lane in front of the house passes to the right through Little Close Farm. The power lines festooned over the road are not just there for christmas, but we can hope.

A former drinking fountain?
At the junction of Dane Rise and Bradford Road, there is what appears once to have been a drinking fountain (too narrow for a horse trough), embedded in stonework with a pediment. It now has a flower box.

2007 : Little Close Farm
Once a fairly isolated spot Little Close Farm is now on the eastern end of Winsley. The old B3108 passes to the left of it and the bypass to the right, while the housing development which grew between the two roads hides behind the farm (and so it should).
