'Up' platform, Dilton Marsh railway station
A train bound for Wales has just left the platform in the direction of Westbury, its next stop, to the north. The train is leaning into the curve of the railway line at this point.

Tiny platform at Dilton Marsh railway station
This is platform 1, only about 25 metres long. Platform 2, about 100 metres behind the camera, is similar. Passengers enter and leave trains here through the front door of the front carriage.
Westbury station is about 2km ahead.

Dilton Marsh railway station, Wiltshire
Opened in 1937 by the Great Western Railway on the line from Westbury to Salisbury, this station was rebuilt in 1994 in concrete, but each platform is just one carriage long. It was rebuilt again in 2018. See Image for a similar view of the 1994 station.

Dilton Marsh railway station, Wiltshire, 2015
Opened in 1937 by the Great Western Railway on the line from Westbury to Salisbury, this station was rebuilt in 1994 in concrete, but each platform is just one carriage long.
View south towards Warminster and Salisbury. The southbound platform can be seen in the distance. The station was rebuilt again in 2018 - see Image for a 2021 view from a similar camera position.
