Theatre Royal, Bath
With the builders barely gone, the theatre is able to show off its new £3,000,000 refurbishment to the entrance foyer and Main House. Bath was first granted the distinction of a Theatre Royal in 1768 by a special act of Parliament, and the 205 year old premises are now Grade II* listed.

Bath Abbey, etc., from a balloon
We had just taken of from Victoria Park, flying roughly westwards. The Abbey is in the centre, with the River Avon and Parade Gardens in the foreground. Above the gardens left to right: North Parade Terrace ("Bog Island"), the Empire "Hotel", and then the domes of the Victoria Art Gallery, the Guildhall indoor market and the Guildhall itself (behind).
