57xx class 0-6-0 pannier tank shunting at Frome, 1963
Over 850 of this versatile class of locomotive were built by the Great Western Railway, capable of working branch passenger services as well as freight. The pannier tank style was almost exclusive to the Great Western Railway among the main line companies.

Private road to Southfield Farm
The new ASDA built on the outskirts of Frome also allowed for the private road to remain to the farm.

2008 : Entre deux railways
Between two railways. The one on the right is the main line between London and the south west, on the left is the loop line through Frome station. Unfortunately they are both out of shot. The pasture contains two oak trees and some electricity power lines.
