2008 : Rudge
Lower Rudge is down the hill behind the camera position, you would expect this to be called Upper Rudge but it is not. An e-mail from Graham Parish contains the following: Rudge has evolved from Ridge, so you have "Ridge" and "Lower Ridge" (or below the ridge). The Ridge runs to the North of and parallel to Scotland Lane and is the easterly extent of the Mendips according to a booklet by a retired geography teacher who lives locally and described the local geology in a pamphlet
