Terrace of cottages at Three Maypoles
These are probably not as old as they are trying to appear - they don't feature amongst the listed buildings of the area, for instance, and most genuine timber-framed cottages near Birmingham would have been listed by now.

OS benchmark - canal bridge on Dickens Heath Road
An OS cutmark on the north-western parapet wall of the bridge over the canal. Originally levelled, probably in 1965, at 141.710m above Ordnance Datum Newlyn. And, yes, I agree, the datum line is quite a way off horizontal.

Stratford-on-Avon Canal: Bridge Number 12: Dickens Heath Road Bridge
This is a modern replacement for the original canal bridge.
Those who enjoy the niceties of the English language will be saddened to know that when the Ordnance Survey published the 1937 Edition of their large scale mapping this was quite definitely "Dickens' Heath Road" leading to "Dickens' Heath Farm" and "Dickens' Heath". Alas the apostrophe appears to have since been lost.

Stratford-upon-Avon Canal at Dickens Heath, Solihull
The canal is tree-lined here as the canal skirts the northern edge of the modern housing at Dickens Heath. Open fields are to the right of the towpath. Tythe Barn Lane Bridge (No 11) is about a hundred and fifty metres ahead.
