Footpath across a field?
According to the OS map, the path goes straight across from here. There isn't much evidence of it though there are a few footprints. Most people seem to follow the field edge to the right. There is an emerging crop in the field, though very young as yet.

Drayton Bassett
Taken from the western edge of the village looking East. Drayton Bassett's main claim to fame is that Drayton Manor is in its parish. More famous now as a fun park, it was originally the home of Sir Robert Peel, founder of the Police Force and MP for the local town of Tamworth.
