These fairly new wooden mitre gates are on Glascote Bottom Lock on the Coventry Canal. There are two locks at Glascote, about 150 metres apart, together lowering (or raising) the water level by 13ft 8in (4.2 metres).

The lock is in very good condition following careful restoration work. New housing overlooks the canal here. There are two locks at Glascote, about 150 metres apart, together lowering (or raising) the water level by 13ft 8in (4.2 metres).
