The Coventry Canal at Glascote Locks, Tamworth
There are two locks at Glascote, about 150 metres apart, together lowering (or raising) the water level by 13ft 8in (4.2 metres). This image shows the pound between the locks, looking towards the top lock from the bottom one.

Glascote Top Lock at Tamworth, Staffordshire
On the Coventry Canal. A hireboat from the Canaltime fleet, Crazy Horse No 120, is being brought up the lock. Both black ground paddles can be seen to be fully up, allowing water into the lock chamber from the canal this side of the gate.
There are two locks at Glascote, about 150 metres apart, together lowering (or raising) the water level by 13ft 8in (4.2 metres).

On the Coventry Canal. A Canaltime hireboat, "Crazy Horse No 120", is entering the lock on its way back to base(?) at Alvecote. There are two locks about 150 metres apart, together lowering the water by 13ft 8in (4.2 metres).

The lock is in very good condition following careful restoration work. New housing overlooks the canal here. There are two locks at Glascote, about 150 metres apart, together lowering (or raising) the water level by 13ft 8in (4.2 metres).
