The former Wigmore School & Workhouse - front entrance and stables
Facing onto Pennyhill Lane, this is the frontage of the former Walsall and West Bromwich Union's Poor Law school and workhouse. It was erected in 1869, with the main aim of providing education for the children of workhouse residents. Sadly the main building (in the yard behind) was demolished in 2002.

It now has 0121- 567 xxxx and 588 xxxx numbers, the 0121 referring to the Birmingham group of forty eight TEs, and its postcode is B71 3AE.
