The former Wigmore School & Workhouse - front entrance and stables
Facing onto Pennyhill Lane, this is the frontage of the former Walsall and West Bromwich Union's Poor Law school and workhouse. It was erected in 1869, with the main aim of providing education for the children of workhouse residents. Sadly the main building (in the yard behind) was demolished in 2002. http://www.workhouses.org.uk/WalsallSD/
