Stone Cross ghost sign 1 from paint to peppers - West Bromwich, West Midlands
This ghost sign, still here from past years, is on the side wall of 281 Walsall Road, Stone Cross, West Bromwich. The building is now a Jalapenos vegetarian restaurant and takeaway. The sign is by 'Bowden and Dolphin Signs ERD 7648' - the ERD referring to their Erdington phone number - a company who were set up in 1959 and who still operate to this day - as you walk around Birmingham you will see many examples of their work. The History of Advertising Trust have an online gallery of such features. Time taken 3.01 pm GMT (Greenwich Mean Time).
