Burnt Out Cock Inn Seen From Rubery Hill
Rubery Hill is an outlier of the Lickey Hills and is public open space. It has been extensively quarried in the past and still bears the scars. The burnt out shell of the Cock Inn is visible in the distance. Built in 1811, this pub has been vacant for about three years. In 2016 permission was refused for redevelopment of the site and new plans were submitted in 2017 and then withdrawn. Coincidentally, the building was torched in an arson attack on 10th October 2017. See it in happier days Image The clump of trees in the distance on the summit is Frankley Beeches.
