Contrast in brickwork
Sun and shade interplay on contrasting brickwork. The old construction is of a hard-fired, semi-glazed brick with good water resistance which gives a darker hue than the modern facing brick of the new apartment buildings. One of many side-arms of the canal used to pass beneath the towpath bridge here.
