Gurdwara and community centre, Soho Road, Handsworth
This very prominent landmark was built in the late 1970s. It is the Guru Nanak Nishkam Sevak Jatha gurdwara, a Sikh place of worship. According to its Wikipedia article https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guru_Nanak_Nishkam_Sevak_Jatha it has five Darbar halls for prayer, worship and the recitation of the scriptures, and three Langar halls serving food. The Nishkam Centre in the foreground is a community centre which has been added more recently; its plain modern style contrasts with the more traditional Punjabi architecture of the gurdwara.
