Applecroft Primary School WGC
Designed by Louis de Soissons, the first state school in Welwyn Garden City. It was opened in 1923 and named Handside School, now called Applecroft Primary School.

Meadow Green, Welwyn Garden City
The sign in the foreground proclaims this to be the "Daily Mail Model Village". Houses here were developed in the early 1920s, to help combat housing shortages following the First World War.
