The Ayot Greenway passes through the Welwyn Garden City suburbs and here it is possible to turn off following the sign to 'Welwyn Garden City Town Centre' and Hatfield.

Disused Railway line, Welwyn Garden City
This disused line is at the back of Campus West and is now a footpath leading to Sherrardspark Wood. This was a branch line on the Great Northern Railway and was opened for traffic between Luton and Welwyn Junction in 1860.
