Harpenden railway station, Hertfordshire
Opened in 1868 by the Midland Railway on the line from Bedford to London St. Pancras. View north west towards Chiltern Green and Bedford. Until 1947, passengers could change here for the Hemel Hempstead "Nickey" line. There was a bay platform at the north end of the station. A new footbridge with lifts was installed in 2014, replacing the one shown in Image

Harpenden railway station, Hertfordshire, 2011
Opened in 1868 by the Midland Railway on the line from Bedford to London St. Pancras. View north west towards Chiltern Green and Bedford.
