Redbourn Cricket Club
This view was taken looking northwards across the common towards Redbourn Cricket Club's pitch. The club was formed about 1823, but organised cricket was played on Redbourn Common here some eighty years earlier, and some County histories record cricket being played on the Common in 1666. This all makes the Club one of the oldest village clubs in England. The Club's website is here http://www.redbourncricketclub.org.uk/club/club.html

Redbourn Cricket Pavilion - Re-vamped
Since my last photo of the Clubhouse, Redbourn CC have been fundraising and now boast a lovely re-vamped pavilion. Stop Press - This lovely refurbished pavilion was totally destroyed by fire in late 2008. A new pavilion will arise from the ashes.
