See 2005 photo http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/27902. Here the pub is named the "Toll Gate". I don't know if this is an error or if the pub has actually changed its name.

St Albans Abbey branch, Bricket Wood
Looking towards St Albans Abbey from the end of the platform at Bricket Wood. This fascinating branch line dates from 1858 when it was completed by the London & North Western Railway providing St Albans with a railway for the first time. It came under threat in the 1960s when the Beeching report proposed closure but received a new lease of life when it was electrified in 1988. It is now served by a regular shuttle between the two towns but for operational reasons it is not possible to run through passenger trains to Euston.
