Entering Park Street on the old A5
I have it on good authority they changed the road number from A5 to A5183 to discourage people from using it. I am not being funny.

Old council sign on Mount Drive, Park Street
Various versions of these are still in use around the country, and are issued by the local councils. These are of the pre-Worboys style, from at least 50 years ago and possibly some years earlier. There are three on this road but this is the only one which isn't bent double. £50 was a lot of money then, most of the era say around £5.

The signs ahead rather oddly say 'Give way 250 yds' without indicating it is a roundabout.
