Methodist Church, Hatfield Road, St. Albans
Some two hundred yards east of its Anglican neighbour, this is an attractive church especially inside, but externally it cannot compete with the splendid Victorian gothic of St. Paul's.

St Paul's Church, Blandford Rd
The side of St Paul's Church https://www.stpauls-stalbans.org/, taken from a ramp leading to the church extension. The building is oriented north-south and the main altar was moved from the north end to the south when the extension was built. Today it was hosting a rehearsal of Elgar's 'Dream of Gerontius'. On the far side of Hatfield Road is a cemetery whose lodge, visible here, has rubblestone walls.

St Pauls Church
Built in 1910, replacing a nearby mission church built in 1899 to serve this expanding part of St Albans. The hall extension on the right, which also saw the reordering of the church itself, was completed in 2010.
