Dating from 1898, this impressive building was designed by the London architects' practice Gordon, Lowther and Gunton. It is locally listed.

Victoria Street from Marlborough Road
The building on the left is the former hat factory of Kershaw and Co. Along with Luton, St Albans was a major location for the straw hat making industry.
