Purple Nightclub
The sign above the door does say 'Purple' but in this light it might as well not be there. I wonder what exactly distinguishes a 'nightclub' from a dance hall or a discotheque or any other type of venue that offers high noise, low light, expensive alcohol and space for 'dancing'?

All Saints Episcopal Church
The church was built to a design by Alexander Ross (1834-1925) who also designed numerous other buildings for the Episcopal Church. It was opened in 1872, and celebrated its 125th anniversary in 2000. This view shows the curve of the apse nearest the camera. The next building beyond the spire is Image], formerly the West Church.

Former Drill Hall
The Drill Hall was designed by local architect James Perry and opened in 1878. The building contractor was Messrs Alexander and the carpentry was by Messrs Hendry. It has a shop on either side of the door, and the hall behind seated 600. As well as being the base for the Territorial Army in Buckie, it was used as a gym by local schools. It was subsequently the Buckie Thistle social club, and is now an entertainment venue under the name of Grand Central. To the right of the hall are some of the shops on the south side of West Church Street.
