Looking north from Cottarton
Ice-filled ruts show how wet the field here is. The ground dips to the Burn of Nethertown, then rises to Mid Hillside, on the slopes of the Hill of Janetstown, which is in the nest square.

Little remains of Lower Hillside but a few ruined walls. The site of the former farm has been fenced off and the ruins left to crumble.
