Station Road
As its name suggests, this leads down to the station, from Regent Street. The main roads and streets have been well cleared of snow, which is piled high on the sides of the road. I wondered if the nearest heap on the left might be concealing a car?

Thingummijigs
Here's hoping there's no-one going into or out of the shop when that row of icicles falls off! The shop has changed names several times in recent years. It was previously Boogie-Woogie, which has now relocated to the other side of Regent Square.

A Fringe of Icicles
Returning home through Keith, I was struck by the fringes of icicles decorating just about every building. This elegant building, 47 Regent Street, dates from the founding of Fife-Keith in 1817 by the Earl of Fife. Formerly the inn, it has been converted into flats.

Fife Keith Building Stone
Building stone used for the Fife Arms, showing 'mullions' that have developed in the locally quarried Keith Granite. The Keith area is located upon the 'Portsoy Shear Zone', which is a significant regional zone of intense deformation that effectively stretched-out the granite and its surrounding rocks during Caledonian mountain building.

Fife Arms Hotel
Like its neighbours, the Fife Arms Hotel in Regent Square boasts an impressive array of icicles, and plenty of snow on the Christmas decorations which it has not yet been possible to take down.
