24 to 30 The Square
The corner building dates from about 1870, with corner turret, hood moulds over the first floor windows and elaborate ironwork above the dormers. The six-window building on the right, with the semicircular central gable, was built about 1760 for William Forsyth.

Gordon Arms Hotel
There were formerly three hotels in the Square, but Gordon's Temperance Hotel is gone. This is one of the two that remain, the other being the Huntly Hotel. The Gordon Arms dates from the late 19th century with the elaborations of detail typical of the architecture of Victorian times.
